Cleanup of anchor worm infestation?
I had bought a worm infected goldfish anchor and introduced it into my tank. Al Apparently now infected my other fish. I no longer have the original fish (I returned to the store), and I have the intention to return the others too sick fish. How I can clean the tank to ensure that all new fish are introduced will not be infected too? If I completely clean the tank and filter, and set like a tank over again … or that I clean the tank and leave the filter? What is the best recommendation? I am a college student in central exams, so do not have much time or money. This tank will be only for U.S. $ goldfish 3, so I do not want any extreme treatments, something that anchor worm doesn't go on living or spread Thanks for any help ahead of time!
I usually recommend medicating the entire tank that is one of the best way to get rid of him. However, if you are getting rid of the fish i destroy the tank and bleach. Then, rinse well and use the right start to reverse forest any bleach reside then you can leave the tank empty for 48 hours and then fill back up and perform as it is first created. I hope this helps
