If you had to pay more for a product that was USA made?
If you had to pay more for a product of equal value to the foreign competition that was domestically made would you? Is “Made in the USA by a US company” important to you?
Why or why not?
Generically I would say NO. I have several reasons for this. The first and foremost, is that while I have NO problem supporting local economies, I have a huge problem with supporting people who think they’re worth more than they are, making their output/product cost more. For instance: Factory “A”’s workers have a union and insist on making a minimum of $20 to push a button 3 times a minute. Factory “B”s workers are non-union, and have a minimum wage of $10 per hour. If Factory B is profitable selling their product at 2/3 the price of Factory A, and the quality is the same, I will be supporting Factory B.
